Shtang Construction and Engineering Ltd. was founded in 1934 by Mr. Yehuda Shtang and is one of the oldest construction and infrastructure development companies in Israel, taking the lead on many national projects over the years.
Yehuda Shtang immigrated to Israel from Poland in 1925. The story of his company is also the story of the state of Israel, and they have been intertwined for almost a century. In the early days of the state of Israel, the company concentrated mainly on developing infrastructure and building settlements for the many immigrants that arrived from Arab states and Europe.
After Israel's establishment in 1948, the company expanded its activities and capabilities, and over the next 30 years positioned itself as the market leader in developing infrastructure for sewage and fresh water management.
For the past 30 years, the company was led by Mr. Shtang’s sons, Shmuel and Uri, and under their leadership the company has developed widespread business connections with world leader infrastructure companies. Shtang Soon became the Israeli expert in providing solutions for the most complex problems in different fields of civil engineering using the most advanced and innovative technologies.
In 1993 the company became public, and for the next 15 years was traded in the Tel Aviv stock exchange.
In October 2009 the company merged with The Green Way Ltd. as part of a strategic move to become the leading business group in green infrastructure and sustainable development in Israel.
In the last few years Shtang concentrated on national projects building large sewage treatment plants, laying and restoring main sewage pipelines using advanced (Trenchless) technologies, and the restoration of historical compounds.
Our company carries out projects either as the operating contractor or as the entrepreneurial company, using either Build Operate Transfer (BOT) or Design Build Operate Transfer (DBOT) models.
We have financial solidity, licenses and contracting classifications to execute projects in all fields and with unlimited scopes and sizes and collaborative agreements with world leading infrastructure companies.
